What’s involved in building a website?

1. You need a domain name. e.g.
- This usually costs between $30-45 per year depending on the type that you are after
- Please note that domain names require a ABN

You also need website hosting. This is cost of having your website location on a computer connected to the internet 24 hours, 7 days a week. The annual hosting fee covers the cost of maintenance, support and data transfer.
- The cost to host your website with Lucid Creations is $101.2 per year.

You also may need an email address that is linked to your domain name. e.g.
- We will create up 5 email address for you that will allow you to store 7 GB of data on each account!

The most important part is the website is the actual design and content

There are 2 main options to developing a website:

a) Choose a design from our catalogue
b) Custom design from scratch

Finally, managing content is an essential component of any website. All of our website are built in an award winning content management system (CMS) that will allow you to alter and make modifications to just about any component of your website at a time convenient to yourself. To do so you simply login to the administration site using a web browser, from their text and images can be changed, as your business requires. The CMS is customizable but requires a moderate understanding of computer usage (particularly picture resizing) and some minor training. If you are a user who is comfortable with web-based email systems then you will have no problems.
